1. Who we are and what this policy covers
REI Cash Index is a product of In House Lead Gen LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("REI Cash Index", "we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through reicashindex.com, the members area, our free tools, our checkout and our API (together, the "Service"), and what we do with it.
By using the Service, you agree to this policy and to our Terms and Conditions.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us.
- Contact details. Your name, email address and mobile phone number, when you use a free tool, request a list of top cities, create an account or contact us.
- Account details. Your login email, your password (stored in hashed form) and your membership plan and status.
- Purchase details. What you bought, the amount, the date and your billing name and address. A third-party payment processor handles your card. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
- Consent records. When you agree to receive calls or texts, we save the exact consent wording you saw, the page and the date.
- Searches and inputs. The cities you look up, the filters and exports you use, and any figures you report to us, such as your cost per lead.
- Messages. Anything you send us by email or through a form.
2.2 Information collected automatically.
- Device and log data. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time.
- Usage data. How you use the members area and the API, such as logins, searches, exports and API calls.
- Ad click information. The campaign and click identifiers that ad platforms add to the link that brought you to the site.
- Cookies and local storage. See section 5.
2.3 Information from others. Our payment processor tells us whether a payment succeeded and may send fraud signals. Advertising and analytics providers send us reports about how visitors found and used the site.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- provide the Service, run your account and deliver your purchases;
- process payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds;
- send account, billing and service messages, and answer your questions;
- send marketing email, and call or text you where you gave consent;
- keep the Service secure, which includes enforcing usage limits and detecting account sharing, scraping, fraud and invalid ad clicks;
- measure how the site and our ads perform, and improve the Service;
- produce statistics that do not identify you; and
- comply with the law and enforce our Terms.
4. How we share information
4.1 We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
4.2 Text messaging data. We do not share mobile phone numbers, text messaging opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
4.3 Service providers. We share information with companies that work for us, only as needed for that work. They provide website hosting, checkout and subscription billing, payment processing, customer relationship management, email and text delivery, form handling, analytics, advertising measurement, address autocomplete and web fonts.
4.4 Legal reasons. We may disclose information when the law requires it, or when needed to protect our rights, our customers or the public, or to investigate fraud or a breach of our Terms.
4.5 Business transfers. If the business is sold, merged or reorganized, personal information may transfer to the new owner, who must continue to honor this policy.
4.6 At your direction. We share information when you ask us to, for example when you connect your own CRM through the API.
4.7 Aggregated data. We may publish statistics, such as average costs per lead in a market, that do not identify any person.
5. Cookies, local storage and advertising
5.1 What we use. The site uses cookies and browser local storage for three purposes:
- Essential. Keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, completing checkout and protecting the site.
- Preferences. Remembering choices you make, such as which ad channel you picked after checkout.
- Analytics and advertising. Understanding how visitors use the site, measuring our ads and showing our ads to people who visited.
5.2 Advertising partners. We may use advertising and analytics tools from companies such as Google and Meta. These tools may set their own cookies and receive your IP address and the pages you view. Their own privacy policies govern how they use that information.
5.3 Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will stop login and checkout from working. You can limit interest-based ads at Google Ads Settings and at the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.
5.4 Do Not Track. Browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for it, and the site does not currently respond to it.
6. Calls, texts and email
6.1 Calls and texts. We call or text you for marketing only if you gave consent on one of our forms. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.
6.2 Email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. Account and billing emails continue while you have an account.
6.3 Other ways to opt out. You can also opt out of calls, texts or marketing email by writing to support@reicashindex.com.
7. How long we keep information
- Account and purchase records. For as long as your account is open, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- Contact details from free tools. Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. We keep a record of opt-outs so we do not contact you again.
- Consent records. For as long as we may need to show that you gave consent.
- Log data. For a limited period, unless we need it longer to investigate a security or fraud problem.
8. Your choices and rights
8.1 What you can ask for. You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information; and
- stop sending you marketing.
8.2 How to ask. Email support@reicashindex.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm your identity before we act.
8.3 What we may keep. We may keep information that the law requires us to keep, or that we need to complete a purchase, prevent fraud or defend a legal claim.
8.4 State privacy laws. Depending on where you live, the law may give you these and other rights, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will respond as the law requires, and we will not treat you unfairly for making a request.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords and limited access. No website or database is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee security. Tell us right away if you think your account has been accessed without permission.
10. Children
The Service is for adults doing business. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. United States only
We operate the Service from the United States and offer it to people in the United States. If you use it from another country, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from yours.
12. Other websites
The site links to websites we do not control, such as ad platforms. This policy does not cover them. Read their privacy policies before giving them information.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. For a material change, we will email you or post a notice on the site before it takes effect. The effective date at the top shows when the policy last changed.
